Description
Set in Taiwan during the martial law of the 1950s, the story follows a girl named Ah Yue who, after losing her brother to the White Terror, travels to Taipei to retrieve his body. Faced with exorbitant fees, she finds herself in despair and nearly sold into a brothel, but is saved by a rickshaw puller named Zhao Gongdao. Their fateful encounter unfolds amidst the turmoil of their times.
