Since the 921 earthquake in 1999, disaster prevention awareness had increased, and evacuation drills and knowledge education had was widespread in schools. Practical learning was implemented through the national “Disaster Prevention Day” and developmentally appropriate teaching materials. For example, junior high schools operate disaster prevention websites.
