Description
Set in Taiwan during the martial law of the 1950s, the story follows a girl named Ah Yue who, after losing her brother to the White Terror, travels to Taipei to retrieve his body. Faced with high fees and despair, she nearly gets sold into a brothel but is saved by a rickshaw puller named Zhao Gongdao. Their intertwined fates lead them to confront the challenges of their turbulent times together.
